Field Management

We continue to deploy a locally based field management team that consists of Regional Field Managers, Area Managers, and Supervisors that train, direct and oversee the activities of our Medical Record Specialists, and provide on-site customer support in implementing StatusNOW. All field managers and supervisors are CRIS certified through the AHIOS Institute, and have received advanced HIPAA training and credentials. We believe this approach provides the more personal, responsive level of service that our customers expect.

Medical Record Specialists

Our Medical Record Specialists are HIPAA trained and many have received CRIS training through the AHIOS Institute. They use this expertise, plus the right combination of scanners, computers, and software tools to capture digital and analog images which are then encrypted, compressed, and securely transmitted as a single .pdf to our Medical Records Processing Center. For those clients that have transitioned to an EMR system or are in the implementation phase, Discovery Health Record Solutions successfully integrates with those systems in a paperless environment using EasyEMR or remotely through VirtualREQUEST.

Medical Records Processing Center

A state of the art Medical Records Processing Center is located in the Atlanta, GA suburbs. This center processes all records through a rigorous inspection methodology involving multiple check points, by seasoned, trained quality assurance personnel, including an additional HIPAA compliance review. Then medical records are promptly distributed to the requesting party in either paper or electronic form, along with an invoice which is automatically generated to accurately reflect state regulated fees.

Customer Support

Discovery’s customer service teams and solutions are supported by our proprietary information management system and web portal StatusNOW. Providing real-time process automation, activity detail, HIPAA compliant disclosure tracking, performance statistics, and a direct link to our Customer Service Department, StatusNOW provides critical access to this information, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
