Discovery Health Record Solutions was founded over 10 years ago to meet the medical record request fulfillment needs of providers and requestors of Protected Health Information (PHI), as established by HIPAA and subsequent regulation. We have established Discovery as a leader and innovator in Release of Information (ROI) outsourcing, Document Management, and Medical Document Retrieval services. During that time we have combined our entrepreneurial roots and the financial resources needed, to provide these services for thousands of hospitals, clinics and physician practices. Our customers include a growing list of recognized local and national healthcare providers, and requestors like attorneys and insurance companies.

These systems are integrated with our proprietary information management system and secure web portal, StatusNOW. Our operations are inclusive of redundant information technology platforms, call center automation, and distribution methods for either electronic transfer or printed delivery. These modular elements deliver proven results no matter what combination of services a healthcare provider may choose. Our best practices approach includes many security features including; Credant encryption software for managing equipment and files, virus protection, closed loop cycle redundancy check to ensure file upload integrity, and we hold a VeriSign 2048 bit certificate of encryption. We believe patient confidentiality is non-negotiable.

Tailored Options
We will design and implement a system to match the special needs of healthcare providers. Our systems allow us to process records with staffed medical records specialists at the customer’s site, or with specialists assigned to an agreed schedule.
EMR
With the emergence of EMR and its rapid adoption, we have developed EasyEMR to extract records on-site eliminating paper, and VirtualREQUEST to remotely access medical records from our Medical Records Center and then fulfill them. These solutions provide added flexibility when determining how to best realize the full potential of EMR investments and still manage the complex task of fulfilling Release of Information (ROI), RAC, independent audits, and internal requests.
